Coated aluminium with conductive properties for lithium batteries

ALUCOAT, specialist in aluminium lacquering, in its determined commitment to Innovation and Development, has designed a foil with a coating specially developed by its R&D department that incorporated into lithium batteries with high energy capacity notably improves their conductive properties.

Its new product, whose purpose is to improve the useful life of batteries and electrical equipment, increases conductivity and reduce electric resistance, up to 15% compared with to the competition as well as 30% compared to bare aluminium, it also improves the adhesion of the metal to the electrode and the resistance to corrosion caused by the electrolyte itself. All this implies greater performance and useful life of batteries. It is therefore, a material developed to satisfy a new market, oriented especially to automotive sector but with a wide variety of applications for other type products such as semi-satellites, home automation, drones and electric scooters among others.

In turn, this novel product also collaborates with the Sustainable Development Goals (SGD), contributing to “Responsible consumption and production” (SGD 12), and “Climate action” (SGD 13).

ALUCOAT, new challenges, new developments and new goals.
